Thetis Lake Regional Park is located in View Royal, just west of downtown Victoria, British Columbia. The main entrance is off Six Mile Road, easily accessible from the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1).
The park is a popular spot for both locals, offering a variety of outdoor activities such as swimming, kayaking, hiking and cycling (Seymour Hill), and picnicking. It features two connected lakes: Upper Thetis and Lower Thetis as well as an extensive network of trails winding through forests and along the lakeshores. During the summer months, the beaches (Thetis Lake Main Beach, Thetis Lake Dog West Beach) become a favourite destination for those looking to cool off in the clear waters.
Distance: Trail loops vary from short 2–3 km walks to longer hikes around 7–10 km.
Time: From 30 minutes to 2–3 hours, depending on the trail.
Difficulty: Easy to moderate.
Restrictions: No motorized boats; dogs must be leashed during summer (off-leash allowed at other times under control); no camping allowed.
