Once again, Topaz Park in Victoria became a meeting place for descendants and enthusiasts of Celtic culture and traditions, as visitors traveled from various provinces and countries for the 163rd Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival. The annual event brought together generations of families and spectators to experience Scottish heritage firsthand.
The weekend schedule featured a continuous lineup of events, including the Highland Dance Competition and performances by solo pipers and pipe bands. Representatives at the clan tents provided insights into family histories, while local artisans showcased their crafts along the pathways. The program also included live sets at the Celtic Music Tent, while whisky and wine tasting sessions offered curated experiences for adult attendees.
Athletics played a central role in the weekend’s program. A major highlight of this year’s sports lineup was the Scottish Highland Games Women’s World Championship, hosted in Canada for the first time. These competitions drew large crowds throughout the festival.
