Whiffin Spit is a narrow, 1.9 km-long natural breakwater extending into the Juan de Fuca Strait, protecting Sooke Harbour from strong ocean waves. This flat, easy trail offers stunning ocean views and the chance to spot seals, otters, eagles, and even passing whales.
One of Sooke’s best walking spots, Whiffin Spit is perfect for a relaxing stroll, dog walking, or photography. Benches along the trail provide resting spots to take in the breathtaking scenery.
