Fishboat Bay Community Park is a quiet natural area located west of Sooke, spanning approximately three hectares.
The park sits at the end of Fishboat Bay Road, where parking is available. A 75-meter pathway, featuring a 20-step wooden staircase, winds through a forested area and leads down to the beach. The southeast-facing shoreline is lined with large boulders and rocks at high tide, with a small sandy section in the center.
At high tide, access can be challenging due to a few large fallen trees, making walking along the shore difficult. However, at low tide, the beach reveals rock-free sand, offering a much more accessible and enjoyable experience for visitors.
Distance: 75 meters.
Time: Approximately 10 minutes.
Difficulty: Easy.
Restrictions: No camping, no open fires, dogs must be leashed.
