Iron Mine Bay Beach in East Sooke Regional Park is a stunning and secluded spot, perfect for those looking to enjoy Vancouver Island’s rugged coastline. As a part of Coast Trail and Pike Rd Trail, nestled between rocky cliffs and lush forest, this small, picturesque bay offers breathtaking ocean views, tidal pools, and a peaceful retreat from the busier trails in the region.
The shortest route to Iron Mine Bay Beach begins at the Ocean Park Place parking lot. From here, a well-maintained forest trail winds gently downhill toward the bay. The path is relatively easy to navigate, with only a few short, steeper sections as you approach the beach.
Once at Iron Mine Bay, you'll be rewarded with stunning coastal scenery. The beach is a mix of sand, pebbles, and driftwood, making it a great place for a relaxing break, photography, or tide-pooling during low tide.
