Leechtown is an abandoned gold rush ghost town on southern Vancouver Island, located near the Sooke Potholes. Established in 1864 after gold was discovered in the Leech River, it quickly boomed before being abandoned. Today, it is a largely deserted site featuring minor remnants, popular with hikers and recreational gold panners.
