Shawnigan Creek Stone Bridge
Barry Rd, Mill Bay,
Cowichan Valley RD

Hidden in the forest near Shawnigan Lake, the Cowichan–Shawnigan Creek Stone Bridge is a charming heritage structure surrounded by mossy rocks, ferns, and the gentle flow of a small waterfall. Built from hand-laid local stone, the bridge blends seamlessly into the landscape — a quiet reminder of early craftsmanship and connection to nature.

This bridge is believed to date back to the early 1900s, around the same time other stone bridges were constructed in the Cowichan and Shawnigan areas to support local rail and road routes.
