Royal BC Museum

The Royal BC Museum is one of Victoria’s top attractions, located in the heart of downtown near the Inner Harbour. It’s a place where history, culture, and nature come alive through fascinating exhibits and hands-on displays.

Founded in 1886, the museum tells the stories of British Columbia’s people, land, and wildlife. You can walk through life-sized forests, explore Indigenous history, learn about the gold rush, and even meet a giant woolly mammoth in the Natural History Gallery!

The museum also features special exhibits from around the world, so there’s always something new to see. While you’re there, make sure to visit Thunderbird Park right outside, where you’ll find beautiful traditional totem poles.
