Trafalgar Park is a small 1.4-hectare natural area in Oak Bay located along King George Terrace. Perched on a steep coastal slope, the park offers a scenic viewpoint featuring a sculpture and trails leading down to Trafalgar Beach below.
One of the notable features at the park’s lookout is the bronze sculpture “Winds of Time”, created by local Oak Bay artist Linda Lindsay. The artwork depicts a female figure rising from the Salish Sea, symbolizing the spirit of the coastal landscape and the powerful forces of wind and time that shape the shoreline.
A network of trails crosses the rugged hillside and descends toward the waterfront. Trafalgar Beach itself is mostly rocky, with driftwood and tide pools visible at low tide.
Parking: Free scenic viewpoint parking lot on King George Terrace, and a small (3-car) parking area at the intersection of Maquinna St & Lorne Terrace.
Accessibility: The scenic viewpoint at the main parking area is accessible, but the trails beyond this point are steep and rugged, with no access for wheeled devices such as strollers or wheelchairs.
