As patio season heats up, six Greater Victoria restaurants have been recognized on a national scale for their standout outdoor dining experiences.

OpenTable has released its 2025 list of Canada’s Top 100 Restaurants for Outdoor Dining, with six restaurants from the Capital Region making the cut — the highest number for any city in British Columbia.

The annual list is compiled using data from over one million verified diner reviews collected between April 2024 and March 2025. Restaurants are evaluated based on overall rating, volume of reviews, and the number of diners specifically praising patio dining.

The local restaurants featured on the list include:

OpenTable’s list reflects not just a shift in how Canadians want to dine, but where. With Victoria’s combination of ocean views, historic charm, and vibrant food scene, the city continues to attract national attention as a top destination for open-air meals.

“Victoria continues to stand out nationally not just for its culinary offerings, but for the unique environments in which people can enjoy them — from waterfront decks to garden patios,” the report noted.
