The sounds of folk, roots, and world music will once again fill the fields of Providence Farm as the 42nd Annual Islands Folk Festival returns to North Cowichan from July 24 to 26, 2026.

Presented by the Cowichan Folk Guild, the festival will feature performances by Susan Aglukark, Yukon Blonde, Black Umfolosi, Shred Kelly, David Francey, Leeroy Stagger, Empanadas Illegales, and many more artists from across Canada and beyond.

Visitors can also enjoy free workshops, artisan vendors, on-site camping, the Art Hive, and family-friendly activities in the Sparkle Zone.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Cowichan Valley, the three-day event offers an opportunity to discover new artists, connect with community, and celebrate live music outdoors.

The festival takes place at Providence Farm, a 400-acre working organic farm dedicated to restoring the spirit and skills of people facing physical, mental, and emotional challenges through horticultural therapy and vocational training programs.
